About MicroPower

Founded in 2008, MicroPower Global Limited is a private company that has developed groundbreaking waste heat conversion technology, capable of generating sustainable emission-free electricity at a long-term cost of US 2 cents/kWh – one of the cheapest forms of power worldwide.

The science is based on thermoelectrics, a long-established branch of physics that has been promising to provide an effective means of generating electricity from heat since the 1960s, but has been held back by a number of factors including low efficiency, high cost, an upper temperature limit of 250°C and an inability to handle harsh industrial environments.

With more than US$75 million invested in the technology, MicroPower now has an exciting clean, green, sustainable business with huge market potential.  Independently validated by research institutions such as NREL and ARL, with a mix of multinational companies in steel, cement, glass, engineering, oil and gas, keen to install pilots and deploy the technology.

The technology has strong patent protection with recent additional filings likely to enhance the IP portfolio substantially.  Many potential competitors have risen and fallen over time and there will be others in the future.  There is nothing more encouraging than customers and partners excited that performance not only lives up to scrutiny, but is way better than any alternatives.

Put simply, MicroPower turns waste heat directly into electric power cheaply and efficiently, reducing the use of fossil fuels and harmful CO2 emissions.  There are other uses too, so if you want to know more, go to www.micropower-global.com.
